The FitzAlan First Reel Guarantee
If this is your first FitzAlan reel and it isn't right for you, we'll give you a full refund.
We're a small brand. We don't have a thousand SKUs or a massive marketing budget. What we have is a reel we believe in and a willingness to put our money behind it. If you buy a FitzAlan reel for the first time and it doesn't earn its place in your kit in the first 60 days, you can send it back to us.
What's covered
Your first FitzAlan reel, fished or unfished, returned within 60 days of delivery. The guarantee applies once per customer.
If you've ordered from us before and your reel has a manufacturing defect, our standard warranty still applies. Reach out and we'll take care of you.
How to start a return
Email hello@fitzalan.com within 60 days of receiving your reel. Include your order number and a quick word on what didn't work for you. We'll send return instructions the same business day.
Return shipping
We cover return shipping in the US. When you email us, we'll send a prepaid label that works at any USPS or UPS location.
When you'll get your refund
We process refunds within 5 business days of your reel arriving back at our facility. The refund goes to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, the credit may take another 3 to 7 days to post to your statement.
What we ask
Pack the reel well. The original box is ideal, but anything that protects it during shipping works. If you fished saltwater, please rinse it with freshwater before sending it back.
We can't process a refund on a reel that arrives in pieces or with damage that goes beyond normal fishing use. If you're unsure whether your reel qualifies, email us before shipping it back and we'll let you know.
The fine print
This guarantee covers one reel per customer, defined by the email address on your order. It applies only to reels purchased directly from fitzalan.com. Reels bought through third-party retailers are subject to that retailer's return policy.
We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases of clear abuse, including reels returned with intentional damage or claims made by customers with multiple accounts.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the one in effect on the day you ordered.
